Vineyard NLC: National Leaders' Conference 2017

Offering

This year’s offering will be focused on investing in young people.

It will be divided equally between 2 initiatives:

Firstly, towards the movement’s DTI generation

It is so exciting to see what God is doing amongst the young people in our movement, and we want to see more!

DTI (the ‘Dreaming The Impossible’ youth festival) has outgrown its venue, many young people are meeting Jesus for the first time and he is drawing this generation to himself. This move to a larger venue will need additional investment to facilitate their moving to Newark Showground for the next few years. And we are expectant for all that we will see happen as many more young people will be able to go along and take their friends too.

We would also like to invest in the young people of our movement in areas such as the expanding Youth Worship School, thriving Passion school and the developing Youth Leaders Network.

Our Youth Worship School has been running since 2013. The event has grown from 40 in 2013 to 75 in 2016 and has been a great investment in young people in the area of worship.

The Passion School is a small group of worship leaders and songwriters in their late teens and early twenties from across the Vineyard movement that began in 2015. The School meets around 4 times a year with a recording retreat in the summer and the vision is to encourage, mentor and develop these young worship leaders for the future.

The aim of the Youth Leaders’ Network is to enable relationship between the youth leaders across our churches and to equip them for the wonderful role that they play in the lives of our young people, and those yet to come, across the nation.

There is so much potential in these young people to have a significant impact for the Kingdom and we would like to invite you to contribute towards this.

Secondly, we will be giving to the charity ‘Home For Good’

Home for Good is a Christian charity, who have a vision to see a home for every child who needs one, and it believes that the Church can make a difference. Home for Good works closely with local authorities and adoption agencies to find more foster carers and adoptive families. It has gained a hearing at the highest level of government speaking up on behalf of children in care and unaccompanied refugee children.

Each day in the UK, 50 children are removed from chaotic, neglectful, traumatic or abusive situations, and taken into care.

There are currently 4,000 children waiting for adoption in the UK – many of them older than four, in sibling groups, from ethnic minority groups, or with additional needs, and 9,000 more foster families are urgently needed. But the situation is not hopeless.

Through its champions, churches, and local groups Home for Good is able to offer an amazing network of support, which makes a huge difference in the day-to-day lives of foster carers, adopters, and the children in their care.

Home for Good exists to see every vulnerable child across the country be part of a safe and loving family giving is a vital way we can help every child in the UK get the family they need.

We as a movement would like to bless this ministry and through them to impact the lives of thousands of children, seeing them welcomed into stable family homes.
